£15000 and a sponsored fellowship at the University of East Anglia for this Nigerian author

For the first time since it’s inception in 2013, a Nigerian wins the etisalat prize for literature. 

Jowhor Ile, author of the published fiction novel, “And after many days”, emerges winner of the etisalat prize for literature 2016, beating two other shortlisted novels. 

The pan-African award is for published first time authors, with a reward of £15000, a Samsung galaxy Note, and an engraved Montblanc Meisterstuck for the winner. A sponsored fellowship at the University of East Anglia also awaits the winner. 

Etisalat has also plegdged to support the publishing by purchasing /distributing 1k copies of shortlisted books across Africa.
